i just got back from Lissie's yesterday and im already bored out of my mind. Ally said she might call me later on in the day to see if we can get together and finish painting her room. speaking of Ally, she and i had another lil adventure. it's not as grand as our trip to Home Dep. but it is rather amusing.
we decided to make an angel cake the last time she was over but we didn't have any ingreds. or an angel cake pan thing. so after we bought everything we needed EXCEPT the cream of tartar. we didn't have (and still don't) any idea what cream of tartar was. so we asked some guy who worked in Hannaford and he didn't know. so he asked his friend and he didn't know.
we told them to forget it and whent wondering. we found them in another isle and they were STILL looking for that damned cream of tartar. they managed to find us something that said it was a sub for cream of tartar. so we got home and started making the angel cake. i was reading the directions and found out how you know when angel food is done. you poke it. and if it springs back it's done. Ally had a good laygh about that one. now we all know that you HAVE to try the batter before you make a cake, so that's what i did.
ya know how angel food is supposed to be sweet? it was fucking SOUR! the face i made was so disfigured that Ally started laughing again. them we poured it into the pan. as a side note, Ally and i didn't trust the pan. it didn't look like it would be able to hold the batter. sure enough, the minute we poured in the batter in leeked all over the counter and floor. we managed to clean it all up though. at least we had the no bake oreo pie in the fridge
and that was our second biggest adventure of a lifetime.
